BryanstonSquare ENHANCING LEARNING

What we do

Bryanston Square offers a wide range of products and services for schools, local authorities, architects and bid teams focused on rethinking how learning should be structured, delivered and measured, and where it should take place.

We have been involved in the development of proposals for a significant proportion of the improved learning estate. Our work has exposed us to many examples of excellent practice that we could bring to you, whether you are a school, local authority or other organisation:
  • Our experience of multiple stakeholder engagement can bring together additional extra-curricular provision and possibly an alternative revenue stream for the school.
  • Our partners are leading practitioners in the development of self-funding sports, leisure and entertainment venues. With them, we could look at what is possible with your organisation to deliver the funding you require to meet your aspiration.
  • An outside body is best placed to critique the curriculum provision and consequent learning and working environment - accommodation, FF&E and ICT strategy for a school or organisation. We could do this for you. We operate in a sustainable way so that once you have invested in our skills and services, you will have the capability to develop your future yourselves.

Services tailored to your needs
We can help you prepare for the challenges and financial opportunities ahead following the Government’s Spending Review. Bryanston Square has a list of services – a Readiness Toolkit – that can be tailored to your specific needs and budget:

  • Conditions and suitability surveys: e.g. combined with curriculum analysis and circulation modelling.
  • Authority Strategy Solutions: e.g. visioning workshops for local authorities, develop pathways in this new climate and be ready for capital spend in the future.
  • Themed Immersion Days: tailored to key themed topics like improving performance, service and management change. Read more about Immersion Days below.
  • Socrates Tree: a powerful online tool that gathers views efficiently and effectively, allows all stakeholders a view, provides feedback and enables an informed debate.

Marcus has been invited to the University of Hertfordshire to give a keynote presentation at a conference for children going to school in St. Albans and Harpenden . The focus will be “Leaders of the Future” and the students will be drawn from the student councils or student voices of all the local secondary schools in the two areas.

Following the keynote speech there will be an afternoon of workshops run by the students, showcasing the areas of school life their student councils have led on and influenced over the last year.

1/3/2012

As part of the Unlock programme we are running with St Michael’s Catholic School in Southwark, the students have organised an event showcasing what they have been doing so far in the project. They have invited interesting people that they have met along the way back to St Michael’s to share their stories with the audience in a workshop format. It’s shaping up to be a great event, if you’re interested in coming along please let us know and we’ll see if we can get you a ticket.

8/3/2012

Marcus will be delivering a keynote session at the Cornwall Learning Conference focusing on aspiration and motivation, looking at all of the possibilities in one’s life, and the facilitators and barriers to getting there. “When I was young, I had so many dreams, so many possibilities – then I realised that they were just that, dreams” is all too often used as a reason for not pushing forward. But life does not have to be like that. In this seminar, Marcus will lead participants through a journey of self discovery. At the end, we hope they will be in a better place to help students and colleagues, and will rediscover why they went into education in the first place.

24/3/2012

Marcus will be delivering a keynote session at the ASCL Annual Conference 2012.

28/3/2012
